Op 19 februari 2009 heeft de Europese Vereniging voor Terminologie een studiedag gehouden met als thema "The Terminology Profession and the Marketplace".
Het ging door in de Sorbonne-universiteit, in Parijs.
Het doel ervan was een inventaris op te maken, op Europees niveau, van alle verantwoordelijkheden in verband met het beroep, alsook de vereiste bekwaamheden en vaardigheden.
