The project was carried out with the close cooperation of terminologists of the Terminology and Communication Research Group at Károli Gáspár University.

The questions regarding specialized languages are important topics in applied linguistics research. A growing number of areas witness the current trend of automation, robotization and artificial intelligence (AI). Therefore, converting information into a form that can be understood by machines is of utmost importance in the future. These three technological advancements require the precise description of languages, consequently, the systematic description of the features of specialized languages is one of the current tasks of linguistics.

This book discusses the changed environment of technical communication, the processes, and the legal and standardization backgrounds. The authors delved into the typological, semantic and lexical features of technical texts in the fields of technical documentation, and also focused on research related to terminology, translation and text analysis, as well as their relevance in higher education in connection with documentation, content development and technical writing.

Le volume Terminologia e mediação linguística: métodos, práticas e atividades (Terminologie et médiation linguistique : méthodes, pratiques et activités), sous la direction de Manuel Célio Conceição (Centro de Investigação em Artes e Comunicação CIAC-UAlg) et de Maria Teresa Zanola (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore) a été lancé ce 8 octobre, à la librairie FNAC du Centre commercial d’Algarve (à Guia), et en ligne sur Zoom, dans le cadre du programme des XVII^es Journées scientifiques du Réseau Panlatin de terminologie (Programme-XVIIes-Journées-Jornadas-REALITER.pdf). Le volume regroupe des articles issus des communications présentées aux Journées scientifiques REALITER du mois de septembre 2019, hébergés par l’Université d’Algarve (Portugal). Une très nuancée revue en a été présentée pendant l’événement, dans un portugais impeccable, par Etienne Quillot (représentant du Ministère français de la Culture, DGLFLF, et membre du Comité scientifique de REALITER).

Le volume Svijet od riječi. Terminološki i leksikografski ogledi [Un monde fait de mots. Discussions terminologiques et lexicographiques] – mélanges offerts à l'honneur de Maja Bratanić, membre de longue date de l'AET – a été présenté le 22 septembre, dans un cadre magnifique, au Musée des Arts et Métiers de Zagreb. Le livre, édité par Ivana Brač et Ana Ostroški Anić, a été présenté par Marko Tadić, Velimir Piškorec and Bernardina Petrović - proches collègues de Maja, qui ont chacun évoqué une autre période de sa carrière.

Ce recueil de 27 articles sur des thèmes de lexicographie, de lexicologie, de terminologie et de terminographie a été préparé dans le cadre d'un projet de recherche intitulé Dynamicitiy of Specialized Knowledge Categories (Dynamisme des savoirs spécialisés – DIKA), financé par la Fondation Croate de la Science. Il comprend plusieurs articles rédigés par des membres de l'AET bien connus: Delyth Pryss, Teagau Andrews et Gruff Prys, Ágota Fóris et Eszter B. Papp, Sandra Cuadrado et Ana Ostroški Anić.

Eurac Research vient de publier Risorse e strumenti per l’elaborazione e la diffusione della terminologia in Italia (‘Ressources et outils pour le travail terminologique et la diffusion des terminologies en Italie’) – un livre édité par Elena Chiocchetti et Natascia Ralli.
